I tried to post all the pics. Here is an update.

It took a few days for it to hit, but man it hit hard. I'm doing better know, and so is O'Ryan. We are trying to take things a day at a time and not dwell to much.

We will always miss him.

Funeral

We had an absolutely beautiful service for our Michael. There are some fantastic picture frames and other things that were done.

Give me a few days to get my head screwed on right and I will post pics.

chase bank account

It was posed as a question how do you donate? We were told that you could go into any chase bank and do it. The account is under my name. Rebekah Tatton. Michael and O'Ryan's names are under the foot notes. It should not be a problem.

We appreciate all the support and prayers we have gotten throughout this whole thing. Especially now.

Our little angel!

Its been a long three months, but today our cute little man finally decided he was too tired to fight any more. We will miss him so much, but the time we have spent with him is priceless.

....

I don't even know how to type this. We are to the point where there is nothing more that can be done. This might come as a surprise, but I have tried to stay very upbeat on the blog. Our son needs heart surgery, but to do that he would need to go on a heart lung bypass machine. He is in kidney failure and even people with normal kidneys have a hard time with that. His kidneys can't get better and he also has lung issues.

We are going to spend some time with our son and then pull the life support. We have not decided when we are going to do this. We will update with viewing and funeral dates.

Thank you to everyone for all your support.

another holiday, another hat & bib

Not much different to update. We are still trying to get all the swelling off of our little guy so he can go to surgery. We got him this cute thanksgiving stuff to wear. He is still the cutest guy at primary children's hospital.

On an unrelated note. Stacie should get a kick out of this story. A few weeks back we were coming home from a not so stellar day at the hospital. It was 2 in the morning. There was this sandy police man in his cruiser. We were both stopped at a light in west jordan. The light turned green and we headed off, he took his sweet time going. There was NO ONE except us and him on the road. We were going 43 mph. the speed limit is 40. He shined his bright light at us so my husband pulled over. Then he turned on his flashers and came to the window to talk to us. It went something like this.
Officer: "Do you know how fast you were going?"
O'Ryan: "I was going pretty close to the speed limit."
Officer: "Well I was following behind you at 40 and you were gaining on me. I'm sure you want to be compliant with the law. You need to get your calibration checked. Can I have you license, registration and proof of insurance please."
We gave it to him, and while he was checking that all of our stuff was legal and current O'Ryan is saying what a jerk this guy is and how it's not our fault that he doesn't want to go home to his wife.
Officer comes back and says: "Well I know there aren't very many cars on the road, but you still need to go the speed limit."

WHAT A FREAKING JERK!!!! He had the rudest tone the entire time he was talking to us. And maybe he needs to get his calibration checked. WE were soooooo pissed off. Stacie we hope your husband isn't this kind of cop, we know they have to do there job but seriously 3 miles at 2 in the morning!?!?!?!?! ridiculous.

I had to put the bibs on him even though they are way too big still. Nothing new to report, still trying to wean meds and get better for heart surgery. Probably will be the status quo for a while.

Update on Michael

First I finally finished some of his bibs. Here are the pics. I will get some with him wearing them. I got feeling better and finally went up to see him, but we forgot the camera : ( We will get some cute pics soon.

Medical update. Wow a lot has happened in the last few weeks. Here is the shortened version. We got the pulmonary hypertension specialist to look at the heart cath results. He says the interpretation of the numbers is not as bad as what the other cardiologists said. (They weren't taking certain factors into consideration.)
So the new plan is: Michael is off of the flolan. He was on a lot of medications to help support his blood pressure while he was on it and that wasn't good for his kidneys. They are weaning the medications he was on to support his blood pressure. They are also waiting for his kidney functions to get better. (Medications are damaging to the kidneys, so it's just a matter of time before they function better, hopefully.) Then they will take him to the OR to close the hole in his heart.

Hope that all made sense. He is so adorable! I wish I had brought my camera today. His hair keeps growing. We gave him a bath and put it in a faux hawk again and man is that spike getting high.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support and prayers.
